Dr. Groß ist Spezialist für die Behandlung von Wirbelsäulenerkankungen.

An der Charité Berlin spezialisierte er sich über viele Jahre hinweg auf die operative und konservative Versorgung aller Erkrankungen der Wirbelsäule.
​
Nach seiner Tätigkeit als Oberarzt für Wirbelsäulen- und Skoliosechirurgie an der Charité Berlin war er seit 2013 als Leitender Arzt des Bereiches Wirbelsäule und als Leitender Oberarzt und Chefarztvertreter der Klinik für Orthopädie und Unfallchirurgie im Helios Klinikum Emil von Behring in Berlin tätig.

Dr. Christian Groß besitzt als einer der wenigen Wirbelsäulenchirurgen in Deutschland die operativen und konservativen Masterzertifikate der Deutschen Wirbelsäulengesellschaft (DWG), der bedeutendsten nationalen Wirbelsäulengesellschaft mit Vertretern aus Orthopädie, Unfallchirurgie und Neurochirurgie.
Dr. Groß ist mit weit über 2500 selbständigen operativen Eingriffen aller Schwierigkeitsgrade an der Wirbelsäule ein ausgewiesener Experte auf diesem Gebiet.

Dr. Groß und sein damaliges Team im Helios Klinikum Emil von Behring hat unter seiner Leitung bei der repräsentativen Tagesspiegel-Ärztebefragung für 2020/21 die "Beste Empfehlung Therapie eines Bandscheibenvorfalls" erhalten.
